Integrative transcriptomic, proteomic, and phosphoproteomic analysis on the defense response to Magnaporthe oryzae reveals different expression patterns at the molecular level of durably resistant rice cultivar Mowanggu

Rice blast, caused by Magnaporthe oryzae is one of the most destructive diseases rice ( Oryza sativa L.) in rice-cultivated areas worldwide. Mowanggu (MWG) a traditional landrace variety Yunnan with broad-spectrum and durable blast resistance against fungus. However, underlying disease-resistance mechanisms remain unknown. An integrative transcriptomic, proteomic, phosphoproteomic analysis MWG was performed after inoculation M. this study. The transcriptomic proteomic results revealed that moderately correlated at transcriptional protein levels. Differentially expressed genes proteins were up-regulated significantly enriched phosphorylation, peroxisome, plant-pathogen interactions, phenylpropanoid metabolism phenylalanine biosynthesis pathways. profile phosphorylated-protein-interaction network altered phosphoproteins primarily associated reactive oxygen species (ROS), glycolysis, MAPK signaling pathways, amino acid biosynthesis. In addition, series physiological biochemical parameters, including ROS, soluble sugars, callus accumulation defense-related enzyme activities, used to validate possible MWG. different expression patterns molecular level durably resistant cultivar , which provides insight into resistance.
